Interested in join the Illinois Voices Board of Directors?
Illinois Voices is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with its bylaws. Board members are selected and approved by the current Board of Directors. Members of the board guide the mission of the organization and approve projects, activities, an expenditures. Our board is an active board and we expect that all of our board members will actively participate in the organization. Requirements for board members include:

• Ability and willingness to participate in monthly board meetings (usually via video conferencing)
• Ability and willingness to participate in various activities of the organization, including meetings, conferences, symposiums, trainings, fundraising, outreach, etc.
• Having a vested interested in public registries, either by being directly affected, being a friend or relative of someone who is directly affected, or being involved in the issue through activism, research, treatment, social services, or some other form of participation
• Having general agreement with the mission and goals of the organization
• Ability to use and have access to basic technology such as the internet, email, phone, etc.
• The ability and willingness to work together with other board members and supporters
  
• Good communications, organization, and writing skills are a plus
• Because of the limitation and restrictions imposed by parole/probation officers, we ask that interested individuals complete their parole or probation requirements before applying to be on the board
• Board members should not be currently under investigation or involved with current criminal litigation
