![]() Illinois Voices Takes ISP to Court
Errors on the registry website can have highly damaging legal, financial, and reputational consequences for registrants and their loved ones. Under Illinois law, Illinois State Police has statutory responsibility to ensure that the information on the state's registry webpage is accurate. But the ISP doesn't have a fair and effective process for registrants to challenge errors on the registry. On February 12, 2025, Illinois Voices for Reform filed a proposed class action lawsuit to force ISP to implement procedures to ensure that errors on the registry are corrected in a fair and reasonably timely manner. Please join us for a Zoom seminar on February 20, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. Central to learn about this important new lawsuit. The event is free, but please RSVP using the form below so we know how many people to expect. We’re looking forward to seeing you on February 20! |
